Older polish, whether regular polish or GelColor (Shellac), is initially removed from the nails. A nourishing hand bath, enjoyed with a tea, prepares nails and cuticles for the subsequent treatment. Nails are trimmed and filed into the desired shape, cuticles are loosened, pushed, and excess skin is removed. Depending on the selected manicure, our specialists at Sakura Spa pamper and care for your hands, leaving them silky smooth and velvety with hand peels, wraps, massages, hand creams, and finish your nails with an O.P.I. polish.

We continually expand our selection with additional trend colors. The trendy and high-quality OPI polishes bring stylish colors to your nails. Our GelColor polishes by OPI are particularly popular—long-lasting, scratch-resistant, and very glossy. At Sakura Spa St. Gallen, we offer both manicures and pedicures with OPI GelColor. GelColor is cured with the LED lamp, creating perfect nails without scratches. GelColor provides your nails with a glossy, natural look and lasts longer than regular polish, so you can enjoy your nails for a long time after your manicure at Sakura Spa.
Removing GelColor by OPI
At Sakura Spa, we will remove and renew your GelColor, including with your next manicure. If you want to remove it at home, you can do so with our removal kit, which you can purchase from us. Here are the instructions:
- Rub fingertips and cuticles with oil as a protective layer against acetone.
- Roughen the nail polish layer with a file, being careful not to damage the natural nail.
- Soak pads with the remover and wrap them with aluminum foil around the nails.
- After 10 – 15 minutes of exposure, gently remove the GelColor with the stick included in the kit.
