How does diamond microdermabrasion work
Diamond microdermabrasion is an effective and gentle treatment method for regenerating and rejuvenating the skin. The top layer of skin made up of dead, hardened cells is removed in a controlled manner using fine, sterilized microcrystals, with a fine diamond attachment gently gliding over the skin and acting like a peeling agent. Cell renewal is promoted so that new, fresh skin cells can form, essentially replacing the old skin tissue from within. An individually adjustable vacuum is then used to suck out loosened cell material and gently remove the skin particles. At the same time, diamond microdermabrasion stimulates deeper layers of skin and encourages regeneration. Our beautician in the Sakura Spa then works intensively moisturizing active ingredients into your now "fresh skin" that are specifically tailored to your skin type, e.g. hyaluronic acid for mature skin, anti-fat and anti-inflammatory active ingredients for blemished skin, and vascular-strengthening active ingredients for couperose.

What happens after diamond microdermabrasion - what to consider
Immediately after the treatment, the skin may become red, but this will disappear after a short time. If you have impure skin, the condition of the skin may worsen in the days following the treatment, as skin regeneration and renewal are activated and the impurities come to the surface. However, this serves to improve the skin's appearance, which is then evident. After diamond microdermabrasion, you should use a high sun protection factor +50 for the next 3 days and avoid activities that irritate the skin, such as sunbathing, solarium, heavy sweating, saunas and chlorinated water. Products with UV filters are recommended to protect and care for the skin after the treatment. Avoid products that contain fat, fruit acids and salt. Fatty products would encourage skin keratinization.
