foot reflexology massage

Origin of Foot Reflexology

The American doctor William Fitzgerald (1872-1942) is considered a pioneer of modern reflexology and developed a system in which he divided the body into 10 vertical zones. He had a sound knowledge of both conventional medicine and Native American folk medicine, which included reflexive relationships and pressure treatment that have been used for many centuries. Fitzgerald then developed a system: he divided the body into ten vertical zones. The "zone therapy" developed by Dr. Fitzgerald is considered the foundation for today's reflexology therapy. Later, these longitudinal zones were divided into 3 transverse zones each. This is still the basis of foot reflexology today.

Ayurvedic foot massage and leg massage

Reflexology and foot reflexology are based on a holistic body image in which all parts of the body are connected and the human body is reflected in the foot. The foot is like a small map in which the entire body and its ailments can be found. With a foot reflexology massage, physical and mental ailments in the rest of the body can be relieved by applying targeted pressure to specific points on the foot. A foot reflexology massage is also a relaxing feel-good experience in the Sakura Spa for prevention and to generally improve health and well-being, giving you new energy and lightness.
